Ka Nohona Hawaiʻi
May 8, 15, 22, 29 | Thursdays 4:30-6:30 pm | Ka Nohona Hawaiʻi is a 4-week course that will engage participants with opportunities for strengthening their sense of self and place in Hawaiʻi. We will explore storytelling and creative collaborations that foster aloha ʻāina! This highly interactive workshop will explore aloha ʻāina through traditional Hawaiian ways of learning and contemporary art mediums. We will apply Hawaiian practices such as ʻŌlelo Noʻeau - Proverbs, Ōlelo Hawaiʻi- Hawaiian language, Moʻolelo - Storytelling, Mele - Song, and Oli- Chant. This will serve as the seeds for future generations of storytellers to rise.
